SMALLER SIGNS OF THE DAY

THE SIGNS THAT HAVE TAKEN PLACE BUT THAT CONTINUE TO TAKE PLACE,OR WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE PLACE.

A DECREASE IN KNOWLEDGE AND A PREPONDERANCE OF IGNORANCE.
Ubaidullah and Abu musa (R.A) narrated that the messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said:-
" indeed,before the hour are days during which knowledge will be raised, ignorance will descend(and become widespread), and al-haraj will increase in frequency (i.e., it will become widespread.) and al-haraj is killing. (bukhari(13/13/,14,) muslim(6662) al-tirmizi(2200) and ibn majah (4050,4051)

Hudhaifah (R.A) narrated that the messenger of allah said:-
" Islam will depart (i.e., knowledge will depart and become lost, and all of it,s remnanats will be erased) just as the embroidery of a garment becomes obliterated (with the passege of time), until it will not be known what fasting is:nor what prayer, nusuk (generally speaking,acts of worship and obedience,)and charity are. in a single night,the book of Allah azza wa jal(Allah,the prossessor of might and majesty will leave, so that not a single verse of it remains on earth. But groups of people will remain. The old man and old women will say, 'we were araund when our parents said this phrase: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah,' and so we (too) say it.
(ibn majah (4047) and albani declare it to be authentic in assahih(82)
